GIS is a geographic information system - a system for the collection, storage, analysis and graphical visualization of spatial data and related information. Such data include digital maps and plans at different scales, digital terrain data etc. The range of application of GIS technologies is very broad: cartography, investments, ecology, tourism and construction industry. Geoportal was launched as part of the project of Local Governments Associations of the Bug Euroregion "GIS across the border - the joint platform of the area management in Bug Euroregion". The cross-border cooperation between Poland, Belarus and Ukraine will be continued in the period 2014-2020 under the new European Neighbourhood Instrument within the CBC Programme Poland - Belarus - Ukraine 2014-2020.
People living in four Polish voivodships, four Belarusian and six Ukrainian oblasts will have the opportunity to benefit from this cooperation. Indicatively, the European Commission (EC) suggested to allocate almost 176 MEUR for the new Programme. Continuously, the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure and Development will play the role of the Managing Authority of the Programme.read more »
The agreement was signed by the President of the Lublin Regional Tourist Organisation - Piotr Franaszek, Head of Volyn tourism cluster - Vasyl Baytsym, and the Chairman of the Brest tourism cluster - Georgiy Gribov during the conference "Development of tourism as a way to increase competitiveness of the region", which was organised within the project "Establishment of the informational complex in the sphere of cross-border eco-tourism in the Euroregion Bug" (IPBU.01.02.00-78-540/11) on 29-30 of October 2014 in Lutsk.read more »

On 21 September 2014 and the surrounding days there is opportunity to join your "neighbour" in celebrating the achievements of more than 20 years of territorial cooperation in Europe. The European Cooperation Day communication campaign provides a platform for wider visibility of the benefits of CBC both within the EU and at its external borders. On that occassion on 15-17 September Cross-border Cooperation Programme Poland - Belarus - Ukraine 2007-2013 organized 3rd Cross-border Forum of Journalists in Pinsk, Belarus. Representatives of local and regional media had an opportunity to meet colleagues from the other side of the border and record interviews with representatives of projects. Another Programme's event has just started today in Lviv - everybody is invited to join the House of European Cooperation (in front of Lviv National University)!
